CP Builders: Ground-Up Build & Remodel Process

  • Prior to getting started, we want to learn about your project.

    • What is the status of it?

    • Why did you pick the property?

    • What’s the vision you want to create?

    • How can we make it uniquely yours?

This deep dive will help us understand your vision and what matters most to you.

  • Ensuring your home is completed within budget requires thorough discussions to align the design with your financial plan. Often, clients who design first and then seek cost estimates discover that their design exceeds their budget. To prevent loss of time and money, we operate under a straightforward service agreement and fee. This includes outlining the project scope, providing a preliminary cost estimate, and collaborating with the design team to identify areas where you can save and areas that may increase your budget.

This approach minimizes design time loss and accelerates the design process as we match what the architect has drafted up with your budget. This allows for continuous input and feedback as the design evolves, leading to the next steps of submitting the plans to the building department.

  • With the results of the PSA (Professional Services Agreement) work in hand, we will meet to discuss the project’s scope of work in detail. We will review the final plans, budget, schedule, online client portal, the format of the monthly payment submittals, and discuss communication preferences.

If you decide to move forward with us, we will enter the construction agreement phase. At this stage, once you have approved the design and production plan, we will provide a fixed price for your project. The terms of the agreement will be finalized with the authorization of signatures from both parties.

  • You can expect us to handle the coordination of our trade partners, ordering materials, scheduling, oversight, and overall project management. Concurrently, we will diligently keep you up to date on progress and address any issues that arise.

We understand that no matter how carefully we plan the project together, clients almost always want to make some changes along the way.

We are prepared to accommodate any changes you want. The construction agreement will explain how costs associated with your changes will be handled.

  • Throughout the construction process, we undertake inspections to ensure that craftsmanship has been maintained. Before the project handover, we conduct our final inspection of your home thoroughly. Once any last remaining punch list items are addressed, a white glove, final clean is undertaken.

Before moving in, a final review meeting is held during which we answer any operational questions regarding appliances, heating, and cooling systems, as well as a review of our warranty program.

Now, it’s official and your home is ready for you to move in! Thank you for letting us be part of making your dream a reality.
